SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On January 9th 2019 at approximately 3:52 pm. Vermont State Police out of the Williston Barracks received a call of a two car motor vehicle collision on Interstate 89 north bound near mile marker 76 in the Town of Richmond.  Upon arrival it was learned that Andrea Teague had collided with the rear of an Agency of Transportation plow truck.  Neither Teague nor the plow truck operator were injured in the crash.  Teague was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center as a precaution.  Teague’s vehicle was totaled in the collision.  A spray bar was damaged on the plow truck.  The investigation showed the plow truck was traveling south bound at approximately 25 mph clearing snow from the shoulder area of the interstate.  The plow truck’s amber lights were activated.  Teague was traveling south bound at approximately 70 mph prior to the collision.  The investigation is ongoing however speed and impairment but substances other than alcohol appear to be a factor in the collision.  Traffic was reduced to one lane for approximately 45 minutes while the collision was being investigated.  The State Police were assisted by Richmond Rescue and Fire as well as Blackfork Towing.  Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is requested to call the Vermont State Police at 802-878-7111
