SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 01-09-2019 at approximately 1322 hours the Vermont State Police responded to the area of Carpenter Hill Road and West Carpenter Hill Road, located in the Town of Pownal for a two vehicle crash.

Upon arrival on scene it was determined George was a worker for the Town of Pownal Highway Department and was actively maintaining the roadway (clearing the intersection of the roadway due to active snow fall) while Osgood was traveling south on Carpenter Hill Road. As George was backing his vehicle out of the intersection, Osgood came around the corner and was unable to slow/stop due to the icy road conditions. Osgood's vehicle subsequently struck the plow on the front of George's truck.
