SUMMARY OF CRASH: On November 7, 2018, at approximately 1931 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks responded to a reported single-vehicle crash into a tree on Burr Pond Rd. in the Town of Sudbury.

Upon arrival to the scene, Troopers made contact with the operator, identified as Elizabeth S. Burt (33) of West Yellowstone, MT.

Initial investigation revealed that Operator #1 (Burt) was operating Vehicle #1 travelling southbound on Burr Pond Rd. in the area of Huff Pond Rd. Burt was travelling too fast to safely navigate a bend in the roadway, and lost control of her vehicle, ultimately colliding with a tree on the west side of the roadway. There were no injuries resulting, and vehicle #1 was totaled as a result of the crash.

The Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by the Brandon Area Rescue Squad and the Whiting Volunteer Fire Department.
