Middlesex and Royalton Barracks and Department of Motor Vehicles / Saturation Patrol

Saturation Patrol


On 10/15/2018, during the mid morning hours, Troopers from the Middlesex and Royalton Barracks and Inspectors from the Department of Motor Vehicles teamed up for a saturation patrol on Interstate 89 between Berlin and Randolph.  The purpose of this detail was to enforce motor vehicle laws and detect distracted and/or impaired operators.


During this detail 20 vehicles were stopped for various Vermont Law Violations.  14 operators were issued warnings, 5 operators were issued tickets, and 1 operator was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol.
