SUMMARY OF CRASH: On September 14, 2018 at approximately 0654 hours, Troopers

from the Vermont State Police-Shaftsbury Barracks were dispatched to the area of

Route 100 near Old County Lane. A caller advised they observed a vehicle off the

roadway, down over a small embankment. A 2002 GMC Envoy was observed

approximately 30 feet off the roadway in a small clump of trees. The vehicle

appeared to have left the roadway and rolled before coming to rest on its

wheels. The operator, later identified as the registered owner Alexander Charron

had crashed sometime during the previous night and left the scene. Charron

admitted to speeding and stated he swerved to miss deer in the roadway. Charron

also advised he did not report the crash because he did not know the phone

number to call the State Police. No damage was observed other than the vehicle

being totaled. Charron stated he was uninjured and not seeking medical

attention. Heartwellville Towing of Readsboro VT responded to remove the

vehicle.
