Rutland Barracks/ Saturation Patrols/ 2 Arrests

SATURATION PATROLS- DISTRACTED DRIVING

 

On September 13, 2018, from 1700 - 2000 hours, Troopers from the Rutland Barracks conducted simultaneous saturation patrols in the Towns of Mendon, Rutland, West Rutland, West Haven and Fair Haven.  Troopers focused their efforts on individuals who were operating while using a portable electronic device, texting and / or speeding.

 

While on patrol, Troopers initiated 27  traffic stops, issuing 12 VCVC’s (tickets) and 17 written warnings.  Troopers arrested 2 individuals during the detail: 1 for operating with a criminally suspended driver’s license; 1 for having an active extraditable arrest warrant out of Texas (Fugitive).
