Williston Barracks // MV Crash with Moose

DAMAGE TO VEHICLE #1: Front end, roof / total loss (see picture)
INJURIES: minor cuts due to breaking glass
HOSPITAL: None / checked and treated by rescue at scene, then cleared.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On the above date and time VSP, along with Elmore Fire Department and Morristown Rescue responded to Vermont Route 12 in the town of Elmore for a motor vehicle collision involving a moose. Operator #1 had been traveling south on Vermont Route 12 when she encountered a moose in her lane and was unable to stop. The moose caused heavy damage to the front end and roof of vehicle #1. Operator #1 sustained minor injures and was treated at the scene. Vehicle #1 was a total loss. The moose was killed in the crash and was removed from the scene by a state Game Warden.
