Rutland Barracks/ Saturation Patrols/ 2 DUI Arrests

SATURATION PATROLS

 

On August 11-12, 2018, between 2130 and 0200 hours, Troopers from Rutland Barracks conducted saturation patrols in the Towns of Killington, West Rutland, Rutland and Fair Haven (VT).  Troopers focused their efforts on stopping and arresting individuals operating under the influence of alcohol and / or drugs. 

 

While on patrol, Troopers initiated 22 traffic stops, issuing 8 VCVC’s (tickets) and 16 written warnings.  Troopers screened 6 operators for possible impairment, 2 were arrested for Driving Under the Influence (1 DUI- Alcohol/ 1 DUI Drugs- Marijuana).  1 consent search was performed which resulted in a passenger being issued a VCVC for a violation of Title 23 VSA 1134a(b), Passenger possessing open container of marijuana.
