The deceased located in the Lewis Creek Fishing Access Area in the town of Ferrisburgh on 08/05/18 is 56 year old Peter J. Tolis.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On the afternoon of 08/05/18 at approximately 1500 hours two (2) kayakers located a deceased human in the water near the VT Fish and Wildlife Lewis Creek Fishing Access Area off of Long Point Road in Ferrisburgh.  Several rescue personnel responded to the scene along with an assistant medical examiner.  The body was identified however the name is being withheld until proper notification can be made to the next of kin.  The body was sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Burlington where an autopsy will be completed.  There is no expected foul play.
