SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On 8/6/18, at approx. 1941 hours, Vermont State Police received a report of a hit and run on Lake View Road, Averill.  A vehicle hit a road sign on Lake View Road and left the scene.  After further investigation, the operator was identified as Jared Carr, 34, of Averill.  Carr was charged with the crime and released on a citation to appear in court.
