Westminster Barracks/ Motorcycle Crash

DAMAGE TO VEHICLE #1: Left side and front fairing.

INJURIES: Leg, chest and head.

HOSPITAL: Brattleboro Memorial transferred to Dartmouth Hitchcock

 

SUMMARY OF CRASH: On the above date and time, Vermont State Police were dispatched to a motorcycle crash, with injuries on Interstate 91 North near mile marker 16. Upon State Police arrival they located a motorcycle and a male operator in the median of the interstate. The male was later identified as Norman T. Ruszkowski of Milford, CT.

 

Investigation revealed Ruszkowski exited the west side of the northbound lanes while travelling around a right curve in the roadway. Ruszkowski travelled for a significant distance in the grass median before falling from the motorcycle and coming to rest in a drainage ditch. Ruszkowski was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital with apparent leg, chest and head injuries before being transferred to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. At the scene Ruszkowski was able to move and speak with emergency personnel.

 

Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by the Putney Fire Department, Rescue Inc and Demco Towing.
