Westminster Barracks/ Motor Vehicle Crash

INJURIES: Minor neck/back pain.

SUMMARY OF CRASH: On the above date and time, Vermont State Police were dispatched to a one car motor vehicle crash on Interstate 91 North near mile marker 25. It was reported there were unknown injuries associated with the crash.

 

Upon arrival, vehicle #1 a 2009 Honda Civic was located in the median with extensive damage to the entire vehicle. The operator was identified as Laima E. Leland of Athens, VT. According to Leland she was operating in the travel lane of the northbound lanes when her vehicle began to hydroplane on the rain covered roadway. Her vehicle subsequently spun approximately three times before entering the median and striking a concrete drainage ditch. Leland reported minor injuries and was transported to Springfield Hospital.

 

Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by Golden Cross Ambulance, Westminster Volunteer Fire Department and J&M Towing.
