SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On July 1st, 2018 at approximately 1724 hours the Vermont State Police received a report of a citizen dispute on Davis Road in Enosburg.  Joseph Walker-Brazie (age 32 of Enosburg, VT) reported that a neighbor, Richard Cronin (age 59 of Enosburg, VT) followed him home and threatened him regarding his speed on Davis Road.  Walker-Brazie said that in an effort to deter Cronin’s threats he fired a round from his pistol into his yard.  Cronin ultimately left Walker-Brazie’s residence and returned home. The subsequent investigation revealed that Cronin had been operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.  Cronin was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing.  At the conclusion of which Cronin was lodged on $5,000.00 bail at the North West State Correctional Facility and is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on 07/02/18 to answer to the charge of DUI.

Walker-Brazie was determined to have acted without due regard for the safety of others and was thus charged with Reckless Endangerment.  Walker-Brazie was ultimately issued a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on 08/27/18 to answer to said charge.
