SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On July 25, 2018, at approximately 1829 hours, the Vermont State Police responded to a two vehicle crash on US Route 7, in the Town of Ferrisburgh. Upon arrival both operators were on scene and both vehicles had been moved from the roadway.

Preliminary investigation indicates Abigail Iliff (OP #1) and Loretta Robarge-Hawkins (OP #2) were both traveling southbound on US Route 7. OP #2 began to slow down for a line of cars due to a tractor traveling on the roadway. OP #1 was traveling southbound behind OP #2, diverted their attention from the roadway temporarily, subsequently colliding with V #2. V #1 sustained damage to the front bumper, hood, and undercarriage. V #2 sustained minor contact damage to the rear bumper. Neither alcohol nor drugs played a factor in the collision.
