SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On July 30, 2018 at approximately 11:05PM Troopers were dispatched to a report of a car fire on River Rd. in the Town of Duxbury. Upon arrival, Troopers located a vehicle that had been abandoned in the traveled portion of River Rd. fully engulfed in flames. It was determined that the owner of the vehicle was James Lavanway, 20, of Richmond.

 

Troopers made contact with Lavanway at his residence in Richmond. Lavanway showed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for DUI. Investigation also determined that Lavanway had been involved in a crash prior to the fire.

 

Lavanway was transported to the Williston Barracks for processing and later released with a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court on 8/9/2018 to answer to the charges of DUI #1 and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Additional charges are pending further investigation.

He will stay lodged until he pays the child support amount or in 15 days he will be transported to the Windham County Court to appear before a family court judge. He was issued a warning for the inspection sticker and a ticket for operating with a suspended license.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On July 31, 2018, at approximately 1759 hours, the Vermont State Police responded to a two vehicle crash on VT Route 22a, in the Town of Addison. Upon arrival both operators were on scene.

 

Preliminary investigation indicates that Joseph Yongue (OP #1) had been traveling west on VT Route 17 W, as Margaret Pouliot (OP #2) was traveling south on VT Route 22a. OP #1 stopped at the stop sign for the intersection and then proceeded to make a left turn to head north on VT Route 22a, subsequently colliding with V #2. V #1 sustained damage to the hood, front driver’s side quarter panel, front bumper, undercarriage, and front driver’s side door. V #2 sustained damage to the front bumper, hood, driver’s side front quarter panel, and undercarriage. Neither alcohol nor drugs played a factor in the collision.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On the evening of July 30th 2018, Vermont State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on South Wheelock Rd in Wheelock, VT.  Upon arrival, Troopers found that Dalice Noyes (18) had been operating the motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.   While Troopers were attempting to complete the investigation, Lacourse (26) and Billy Noyes (44) arrived on scene and were impeding the troopers attempting to conduct the investigation.  Dalice Noyes was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.  During the incident, Billy Noyes struck a Trooper in the arm and threatened to kick the Trooper in the face and was subsequently arrested for Impeding a Public Officer, Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and Disorderly Conduct. Lacourse was arrested for Impeding a Public Officer and Disorderly Conduct after he failed to comply with Troopers investigating the DUI crash and threatening to injure a Trooper.

was reported that Keith Greene had physically assaulted another household

member. Greene then took the telephones from the individual not allowing them to

call for help and removing the battery from the vehicle, not allowing them to

leave. Greene's children were present during the incident. Greene avoided the

State Police and refused to turn himself in on this date.

 

On July 31, 2018 at approximately 1340 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State

Police made contact with Greene at his current place of employment. Greene was

placed under arrest and transported to the Shaftsbury Barracks. Greene was

processed and transported to Marble Valley Correctional Facility held on $10,000

Surety Bond. Greene is set to appear at the Bennington Superior - Criminal

Division on 8/1/2018 at 1230 hours.

to operating his motorcycle. Bergeron was taken into custody for suspicion of

DUI and was transported to the Bradford VT State Police Outpost for processing.

Following processing Bergeron was released with a citation to appear in Orange

Troopers located the vehicle on Vermont Route 103, in the Town of Chester. During the investigation, the operator was identified as Alfonso C. Crosse of Springfield Massachusetts and was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs. Crosse was subsequently arrested, and transported to the Springfield Police Department. Crosse was released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On 7-31-18 at approximately 1125 hours, State Troopers responded to a motor

vehicle crash on US Route 2 in the Town of Danville, VT.  Investigation revealed

that vehicle #1 and vehicle #2 were traveling west on US Route 2.  Near a rail

crossing, vehicle #2 slowed in anticipation of a crossing bicyclist before

vehicle #1 ran into the back end of her car.  Vehicle #1 sustained minor front

end damage and vehicle #2 sustained minor rear end damage.  Operator #2 reported

whiplash due to the crash while Operator #1 did not report any injuries.  Both

vehicles were driven away from the crash scene.

Vermont State Police received a call report of 2 ratchet wrench sets being stolen from a vehicle on Stone Road in the town of Brookfield during the night of July 30th.  The two sets are chrome plated Husky and Gear Wrench ratcheted wrenches.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On 07-31-18, at approximately 0546 hours, Vermont State Police from the Westminster Barracks were called to investigate a string of vehicle break-ins in the Town of Weathersfield, Perkinsville area. 

 

Upon investigation it was discovered that eight vehicle's on Quarry Rd, Maple St. and Upper Falls Rd. had been broken into.  Amongst several miscellaneous items it was discovered one of the vehicles involved had a handgun taken from it.

 

Vermont State Police would like to remind everyone to lock your vehicle's and to not leave anything of significant value inside of them.  If anyone has any information in reference to these thefts, please contact Vermont State Police, Westminster Barracks at 802.722.4600 or Weathersfield Police Department at 802.674.2185.

During the course of the investigation, Troopers determined that Dawn Senecal from Poultney (VT) fought with another female causing injury.

 

Senecal was issued a citation to appear October 15, 2018, in Vermont Superior Court, Rutland Criminal Division to answer to the charges of Simple Assault.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Troopers responded to River Street in Saxtons River for

the report of cars being broken into during the night. The vehicles that were

involved were unlocked. Locked vehicles in the are were not bothered. There was

a similar theft from motor vehicles in the Saxtons River area of Main

street on 07/19/2018. Vermont State Police is reminding residents to lock their

vehicles at night, and residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity

to the Westminster State Police Barracks .

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On 07/31/18 at approximately 00:14 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks responded to a single vehicle crash with injuries on Ladd Road, located in the Town of Pownal. Investigation revealed the vehicle left the roadway and collided with trees down an embankment. The operator was revealed to be Peter J. Nolan (24). Nolan and his two passengers were not wearing seatbelts. Noland and one of the passengers sustained severe injuries and were transported to Albany Medical Center. A third passenger was transported to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries. Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors to the crash. Members from the Bennington Rescue Squad, Pownal Rescue, Williamstown (MA) Fire Department, Pownal Valley Fire Department, and North Pownal Fire Department assisted with the incident. This investigation is ongoing at this time. Any additional information will be provided in follow up press releases.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On July 29, 2018, at approximately 1853 hours, I was

notified of an assault that occurred at 48 Lee Way, in the town of Andover

Vermont. After an investigation, Troopers conducted a search warrant on Harvey

Parkers residence and arrested him without incident for the charges of

aggravated assault, criminal threatening and perjury. Tammy Riley was also

arrested for perjury due to sworn statements she provided during the

investigation. Both were arrested and transported to the Winhall Police

Department for fingerprints and photographs. Parker was released on a citation

to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division on September 25,

2018, at 8 AM, after being issued conditions of release. Riley was also released

on a citation at appear at the same time and place for the charge of perjury.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 7/30/18 Vermont State Police was investigating a motor

vehicle crash where the operator was suspected to be under the influence of

drugs. The operator's vehicle was seized and later searched at the Royalton

Barracks. The passenger of the impaired driver's vehicle, Jacob Lemasurier, was arrested for

possession of various drugs that was located in the vehicle and also on his

person. Lemasurier is also being charged with false information to a police officer and

resisting arrest.
