SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 6/27/18 at approximately 1136 hours, VT State Police responded to the area of the Exit 12 off ramp for I-89 for a report of a tractor trailer that got momentarily stuck on the guard rail, but was still in the area.  State Police located the truck and stopped it on RT 2 in Williston.

Subsequent investigation determined that the tractor trailer had collided with the guardrail on the off ramp for Exit 12 Southbound, got back onto I-89 South, used a u-turn illegally by Exit 12 and got off Exit 12 driving into Williston on RT 2A.  The rear axle of the trailer was broken, and the trailer was traveling offset from the tractor as a result.

The operator, identified as Nekruz Mirkhojaev, was cited to appear in Chittenden Court to answer the charges of Negligent Operation and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
