Westminster barracks - Saturation Patrol

SATURATION PATROL

 

During the early evening hours of June 6, 2018, Troopers from the Westminster Barracks conducted a saturation patrol in Windham and Windsor counties, concentrating their efforts on vehicles being operated on Interstate 91 (I-91).     The focus of the patrol was to identify and deter aggressing driving while enforcing motor vehicle laws, while promoting safe driving on Vermont roadways.

 

During the patrol, Troopers initiated 18 traffic stops,  while issuing a several VCVCs (traffic tickets) and written warnings for various motor vehicle violations.   Two operators were found to be driving with a civilly suspended driver’s licenses.  

 

The State Police would like to remind all motorists to consider utilizing a designated driver or seek alternative transportation when planning to consume alcohol.
