SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 05/09/2018, at approximately 1824 hours, the Vermont State Police responded to a single car motor vehicle crash on Interstate 91 northbound near mile marker 50, in the Town of Weathersfield (Windsor County) Vermont.

Investigation determined that Operator #1, Damber K. Sanyasi, was travelling north on I 91 when he left the roadway. Sanyasi was unable to provide an adequate reason for leaving the roadway. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle travelled down an embankment, striking several trees, and came to a position of uncontrolled rest after colliding through a fence. It was determined that speed was a contributing factor in this motor vehicle crash.  Sanyasi showed no signs of impairment.

Sanyasi did not sustain any injuries during the crash.  There were four other occupants in the vehicle that did not sustain any injuries during the crash. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.

Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by the Ascutney Volunteer Fire Department. The vehicle was removed by R&K Towing due to disabling damage sustained during the collision.  Sanyasi was issued the following tickets:

Vermont Civil Violation Complaint 30276326 T23 VSA 1081(a), unreasonable and imprudent speeds for existing conditions and hazards.

Vermont Civil Violation Complaint 30276327 T23 VSA 1038, driving roadways laned for traffic.
