SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On the evening of 06/13/18, at approximately 2150 hours, Troopers with the Vermont State Police were dispatched to a reported single vehicle rollover crash on US Route 302 near the "S" curves in the town of Groton, VT.

Upon arrival, Troopers located Vehicle 1, which was at a position of uncontrolled rest on it's roof in the lane of travel. Both operator and passenger had self extricated themselves from the vehicle prior to Troopers arriving and reported no injuries. Both occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Investigation revealed Operator 1 was traveling on US Route 302 which was unfamiliar to him. As Operator 1 entered into a corner at a high rate of speed the vehicle crossed over the center line before going off the north side of the roadway into the bank, before flipping over onto it's roof.

The vehicle had to be towed from the scene due to disabling damage. Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by Groton Fire Department, and Woodsville Ambulance Service.
