SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

                On April 7th, 2018 Vermont State Police received a report of suspicious activity that occurred in Franklin dating back to December 2017.  The victims reported suspicion of thefts and fraudulent conduct in the home of an elderly vulnerable adult. An investigation by the Vermont State Police revealed that Beverly Hughes (age 33) was initially hired as an in-home caregiver by the family, and there was probable cause that she committed the crimes of Identity Theft and Financial Exploitation of a vulnerable adult.

                On June 11th, 2018 Hughes was arrested for the above offenses and processed at the St. Albans Barracks. She is cited to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on July 30, 2018 at 1:00pm.
