SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On June 10th, 2018, at approximately 1951 hours, Troopers at the Vermont State Police – Shaftsbury Barracks responded to a single motor vehicle crash with no injuries on VT Route 346 near Indian Massacre Road in Town of Pownal, Vermont.

 

Initial investigation revealed that vehicle #1 was operated by Amber Kelson and was traveling westbound on VT Route 346 near Indian Massacre Road in Pownal when Kelson lost sight of the road due to the setting sun and left the roadway.  Vehicle #1 came to an uncontrolled stop when the vehicle struck a telephone pole on the northbound side of the roadway.  Vehicle #1 sustained heavy front-end damage.  Operator #1 was wearing her seatbelt and the juveniles were properly secured in their child restraints and did not sustain injuries in the crash.

 

The Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by the Pownal Fire Department, Pownal Rescue, and Bennington Rescue.

 

The vehicle was towed from the scene by All-Service Citgo due to disabling damage.
