SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On Saturday, June 30th, 2018 at approximately 1408 hours the Vermont State Police responded to a two vehicle head-on collision on VT RTE 7A, located in the Town of Arlington. Upon arrival, it was determined Operator #1 (Maureau) was traveling south on VT RTE 7A and crossed the center yellow line. Operator #1 (Marcum) attempted to avoid Operator #1, but was unsuccessful. The vehicles collided head on, resulting in Vehicle #1 coming to rest against the north bound guard rail and Vehicle #2 going off the shoulder of south bound travel portion of the roadway coming to rest. Occupants of Vehicle #1 sustained server injuries and were transported for further medical evaluation. Occupants of Vehicle #2 were uninjured and declined any further medical treatment. The crash at this time remains under current investigation pending further information. Any further requests are directed to investigating Trooper Shawn Sommers/VSP Shaftsbury Field Station.
