INCIDENT LOCATION: Main St, N Troy/Kennison Rd, Westfield

VIOLATION:

1.       DUI Drugs

2.       Leaving the Scene of an Accident

3.       Negligent Operation

4.       Reckless Endangerment

5.       Numerous moving violations

 

ACCUSED: Adam Gallant                                         

AGE: 32

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Troy, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On the above date, VSP-Derby Troopers received a report of a suspicious vehicle with an unconscious operator (Later identified as Gallant) parked in the caller’s driveway.  The caller also reported some of their items in their yard had been handled.  The operator left when confronted and the complainant followed him to a vacant building in the area of Main St, North Troy.  The operator was confronted again there by residents, and fled the scene in an unsafe manner, striking and damaging a telephone pole and nearly striking the witnesses.

 

The operator was located shortly thereafter by Troopers on Kennison in Westfield, where he was stopped and identified as Gallant.  While speaking with Gallant, Troopers observed indicators of drug activity and drug impairment.  Subsequent investigation and DUI screening indicated Gallant was operating a vehicle while under the influence of depressant drugs.  A K9 was deployed to his vehicle and the vehicle was seized pending search warrant application.

 

Gallant was placed under arrest and processed at the VSP-Derby Barracks, where he was released with a citation to answer to the above charges.
