SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On May 16th, 2018, at approximately 1705 hours, Troopers from the Shaftsbury Barracks were advised of an agency assist for the Bennington County Sheriff’s Department regarding motor vehicle stop on Route 7A near Myers Road in Shaftsbury, VT.

 

Troopers arrived on scene to assist the Bennington County Sheriff’s Department.  The operator, later identified as Kevin M. Breese, age 42, showed signs of alcohol impairment and was screened for DUI.  Investigation revealed that Breese was in physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.  Subsequently, Breese was taken into custody, and processed at the Shaftsbury Barracks for Driving Under the Influence #1.  Breese was released on citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Bennington Criminal Division on June 4th, 2018.

 

The Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by the Bennington County Sheriff’s Department.
