Rutland Barracks- Upcoming Traffic Enforcement Details/ Check Points

PRESS RELEASE- UPCOMING TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT DETAILS AND CHECK POINTS

INCIDENT LOCATION: Throughout Rutland County.

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

Vermont State Police, Rutland Barracks will be teaming up with local and county law enforcement agencies to conduct sobriety and safety enforcement details and check points throughout Rutland County until the end of May. 

 

As of May 8, 2018, statewide Vermont has had 13 fatal motor vehicle crashes. The scheduled enforcement details/ check points are being utilized in an effort to reduce the number of fatal and serious motor vehicle crashes statewide. Any recent crash data can be found at http://ghsp.vermont.gov .

 

In addition to the traffic enforcement details/ checkpoint(s), Troopers will also be aggressively patrolling and enforcing motor vehicle laws concerning impaired, distracted/aggressive driving, speeding and seatbelt use in high traffic and high crash areas.
