SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On May 11, 2018, at approximately 0203 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks were dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Wheelerville Road in the Town of Mendon.  Investigation revealed Scott E. Marini, age 36 of Rutland, Vermont, was traveling east on Wheelerville Road in his 2006 Nissan Sentra, when he exited the south side of the roadway and crashed into a ditch.  During the crash investigation, Marini displayed several indicators of impairment and was screened for driving under the influence.  Marini was subsequently taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the

Rutland City Police Department for processing.  After processing, Marini was issued a citation to appear in Rutland Superior Court, Criminal Division to answer to the charge of driving under the influence. 

 

The Vermont State Police were assisted by the Rutland City Police Department throughout the course of the investigation.
