SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On 05/11/18 at 2309 hours, Vermont State Police was notified of gunshots outside the Localfolk Smokehouse in Waitsfield, Vermont. Investigation revealed a male, later identified as Casey Cook, 30, of Fayston, came back to the bar, after being asked to leave, to confronted the bartender. Cook struck the bartender and prevented him from accessing a phone. Afterward, while crossing the street, Cook produced a handgun from his pocket and fire several shots into the ground in the middle of the roadway. Cook was later taken into custody without incident. Cook was processed at the Middlesex State Police Barracks. Cook was held at the Chittenden County Correctional Facility for lack of $2500.00 bail and was ordered to appear before the Washington County Superior Court Criminal Division on 05/14/18 at 1230 hours to answer to the charges listed above.
