SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 01/12/18 at approximately 2337 hours, Vermont State Police were dispatched to a single vehicle crash on US RT 7 in the area of Kings Way, Pownal. Upon arrival, Troopers began investigating the crash, during which it was determined Brittanie Bonnivier, 22, was driving the vehicle and was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time.

 

During the investigation, Troopers suspected Bonnivier to be under the influence of drugs. Bonnivier was taken into custody for suspected DUI-Drugs, and

transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Shaftsbury for further testing.

 

The vehicle was removed from the scene due to disabling damage after colliding with a tree. The Pownal Fire Department assisted at the scene.

 

Bonnivier was issued a citation to appear before the Bennington County Superior Court- Criminal Division on February 26th 2018 at 0815 hours to answer to the charge of Negligent Operation. DUI charges are forthcoming pending blood results. This crash is still under investigation.
