SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 01/13/18 at approximately 11:50 hours, Vermont State Police Williston Dispatch was notified of a panic alarm activation at the TD Bank in Richmond, VT located at 23 Pleasant St. in Richmond, VT.  Officers from Richmond PD responded along with assistance from Troopers from the Williston barracks.

Upon arriving on scene it was found that the bank had been robbed.  Bank employees reported that a female entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money.  The female suspect was described as being approximately 5'03 tall and having a slender build.  No weapon was displayed during the robbery.  The female suspect fled the bank after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.  The suspect was seen leaving the bank in a small green hatchback car, possibly an older model Subaru.   A second suspect may have been in the getaway vehicle.

This robbery occurred less than an hour after an attempted robbery at the National Bank of Middlebury in Bristol VT.  Similarities between these two incidents suggest that the suspect in both incidents may be the same individual.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to contact Detective Trooper Jacob Metayer with the Vermont State Police in Williston at 802-878-7111.
