PRESS RELEASE

SATURATION PATROL

On October 11, 2017, between 17:00 and 20:00 hours, Troopers from the Rutland Barracks conducted a saturation patrol on VT Route 4, spanning the Towns of Mendon and Killington, Vermont.

At the time of patrol, the weather was poor (rain), causing Troopers to focus their efforts on strictly enforcing the various speed limits on this stretch of highway.  Troopers know that poor weather conditions in this area often result in increased traffic crashes, which Troopers were attempting to prevent.

During the saturation patrol, Troopers initiated 11 traffic stops issuing 6 VCVC’s (tickets) and 5 written warnings.
