SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 02/17/2017 at approximately 2155 hours, Vermont State Police were called to a residence on Bear Hill Road in the town of Brookfield for a reported drug overdose of what was later determined to be Heroin and Fentanyl.

 

The investigation revealed that the heroin containing fentanyl causing the death of the victim was purchased from Jacob Rillo, the day prior to his death.

 

On 08/09/2017 Vermont State Police Detectives with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation located and arrested Rillo in Barre City. He was ordered held on $5000 bail and will be arraigned in Orange County Superior Criminal Court on 08/10/2017 at 1230 hours.
