VICTIM: (The Vermont State Police does not release the names of victims of

sexual assault or domestic violence.)

 

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 08/05/17 at approximately 0800 hours, Vermont State

Police received a report of an assault that occurred in the early morning hours

on 08/05/17 in Lyndonville. A Caledonia County Sheriff’s Deputy reported the

assault after the victim came in for treatment to the Emergency Department at

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury. Subsequent to the

investigation by police, Steven Parsons, 34, of Randolph was taken into custody

and charged with 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault, Unlawful Restraint and

four counts of violation of court ordered conditions of release. The victim

remains hospitalized and was only able to leave the residence after Parsons fell

asleep.
