VIOLATION:  Title 23 VSA 1201 (A)(3)- Operating vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor or other substance; criminal refusal

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On August 12, 2017  Troopers from the Shaftsbury Barracks conducted a saturation patrol along Route 9 for the purpose of enforcing speed violations, distracted driving and DUI apprehension.  Troopers conducted several motor vehicle stops which resulted in Vermont Civil Violation Complaints and written warnings getting issued along with one Driving Under the Influence arrest.  During the course of the saturation patrol Nichole M. Odell was stopped for speeding in the vicinity of the Woodford/Bennington town line.  Subsequent investigation determined Odell’s driver’s license was under civil suspension.  Odell was screened roadside for drug impairment.  Odell was taken into custody and transported to the Shaftsbury barracks where she was processed and released on a citation.
