SHAFTSBURY BARRACKS/ SATURATION PATROL

SATURATION PATROL

 

On 8-12-17, during the evening hours Troopers from the Shaftsbury barracks conducted saturation patrols throughout Bennington County. The purpose of this patrol was to focus on speed, aggressive driving, enforcement of mobile device violations, distracted driving and to ensure seatbelt use. A total of 19 vehicles were stopped for violations.

 

The majority of violations issued were for speeding and defective equipment. Two operators were screened for impairment and two consent searches were conducted. One arrest for possession of a hallucinogenic drug was made during this patrol. The Troopers from the Shaftsbury barracks will continue high visibility patrols in an effort to reduce highway crashes.
