SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On the above date and time the Vermont State Police responded to a reported two vehicle crash at the I-89 north to I-91 north interchange ramp in the Town of Hartford.  The crash occurred at the Y intersection where to the ramps meet, with a yield required of the traffic coming from I-89 north bound.  Meier indicated she approached the intersection, slowed and observed oncoming traffic and brought her vehicle to a stop to yield the right of way.  Blake said that she was traveling at a speed of 40 miles per hour and directed her attention to the left to check for traffic.  Blake indicated when she looked back to the front, Meier had stopped within the lane.  Blake said applied the brakes of her vehicle, but could not avoid a collision with Meier’s vehicle.  Blake’s vehicle was towed from the scene due to damage.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.  Anyone who witnessed this accident is asked to call the Vermont State Police in Royalton at 802-234-9933.
