CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE:  Newport, Vermont

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On August 2nd, 2017, the Northern Vermont Drug Task Force arrested Kellie Peters, 31, of Newport, VT.  Members of the Northern Vermont Drug Task Force, Newport Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations conducted several controlled purchases of heroin from Peters.  As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at Peters’ 80 Third St apartment. 

 

Peters appeared in court on August 2, 2017. Following her hearing, she was detained in lieu of $150,000 bail. The charges are being prosecuted by the Orleans County State Attorney’s Office.
