INCIDENT LOCATION: Point Bay Marina – 1403 Thompson’s Point Road, Charlotte, VT

INCIDENT TYPE:   Death Investigation – apparent drowning

 

VICTIM:  David Clement                                                          

AGE: 64

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE:  Pittsfield, Massachusetts

 

               SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On July 15, 2017, the Vermont State Police Williston Barracks were notified of an abandoned boat found in the Point Bay Marina in Charlotte, Vermont, which was found idling near the docks.  Responding personnel later located a male body in the water approximately 30 feet from shore, in the same area where the boat was located.  Investigation shows that David Clement, age 64 of Pittsfield Massachusetts, was returning to his slip at the marina when he fell into the water and drowned.    The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information or who was in contact with Clement on 7/15/17 is asked to call the Vermont State Police.
