SUMMARY OF CRASH:

State Police are currently investigating a multiple vehicle crash that occurred in front of 304 Hill Road in the town of Brookline.  At approximately 3:45 PM a dark blue Ford Explorer traveling south left the roadway and struck a Nissan Rogue parked in the yard at the residence.  The impact was substantial and pushed the parked vehicle into a GMC Sierra pickup truck that was also parked on the property.

Extensive damage was sustained to the Nissan Rogue to include damage sustained to both rear fenders and the rear bumper.  The GMC pickup sustained moderate damage to the front passenger corner and headlight assembly.

Although the crash itself was not witnessed, the owner looked out the window  immediately afterwards and was able to provide a description of the vehicle and operator.

The operator of the Ford Explorer slowed down and slowly drove off from the scene after the crash.  The vehicle was described as an older model Ford Explorer with a Vermont registration.  Extensive damage was sustained to the driver's side front corner and the headlight was hanging down.  Pieces of the vehicle's headlight lens were left behind at the scene.

The operator was described as a white male in his mid 20's with brown hair, unshaven and an unkept appearance, wearing a navy blue shirt.

The vehicle was last seen traveling south on Hill Road towards Grassy Brook Road in Brookline.

The State Police are seeking to identify the operator of the above mentioned Ford Explorer.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Cpl. Brian Turner of the Westminster Barracks at 802-722-4600.
