SUMMARY OF CRASH: On July 4, 2017, at approximately 1:00 P.M. Troopers with the Vermont State Police responded to a motorcycle crash on Route 30 in Newfane. The operator of the motorcycle, Ronald Ashey, was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. Medical personnel at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital determined Ashey had sustained a life-threatening head injury. Ashey was transferred to Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts via helicopter. Anyone with information regarding this crash is encouraged to contact Trooper Hudon at the Westminster State Police barracks.
