DESCRIPTION OF VEHICLE: 2011 Lexus RX450H

DAMAGE TO VEHICLE: Moderate damage to the driver side front fender, front bumper, grill and hood.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:  On 07/12/2017 at approximately 1025 hours, VSP Westminster was notified of a single vehicle crash on Interstate 91 northbound in the area of mile marker 55, in the Town of Windsor. The operator of the vehicle, Peter Haas reported to dispatch that he fell asleep while driving and crashed.

 

During an investigation at the scene, it was determined that as Haas was traveling northbound, he drifted into the grass median between the north and southbound lanes. While traveling in the median, vehicle #1 struck a marker post. As a result of striking the marker post, vehicle #1 sustained moderate damage and was unable to be driven from the scene.  Benny’s Towing removed the vehicle.
