SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 07/08/2017 at approximately 1438 hours, Vermont State

Police responded to a single vehicle crash on Scott Highway (U.S. 302) near the

intersection of Hall Road in Groton, VT. Penny Wade, 53, of Barre, failed to

negotiate a corner while traveling East resulting in her vehicle somersaulting

off the roadway and striking the front porch of a residence. Wade was taken to

Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH. An investigation by Troopers resulted in

Wade being cited for DUI and Careless and Negligent Operation. Speed and alcohol

were both factors in the crash. Wade was cited and released.
