SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 07/08/2017 at approximately 0938 hours, Vermont State

Police responded to a report of a vehicle that rear ended a tractor on the

Peacham Road in Ryegate. Rosalie Davie, 87, of Ryegate was traveling south on

Peacham Road when she attempted to pass a tractor on the right, driven by Larry

Welch, 53, of So. Ryegate. Welch, a town of Ryegate employee, was using a rented

tractor with side mower to mow the road shoulders. Davie's could not provide a

clear explanation as to why she decided to try and pass the tractor. Neither

Welch or Davie was injured in the crash. Both vehicles had to be towed from the

scene.
