SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On 07/11/2017, Sgt Paquette initiated a motor vehicle stop on Main Street, in Bakersfield Vermont. While conducting the motor vehicle stop, the operator, Lucia-Cole appeared to only possess an expired VT Learner's Permit. The vehicle did not appear to have insurance or a VT registration.

 

While further investigating the reasons this paperwork was missing, it was learned through the course of interviewing Lucia-Cole and contact with the owner of Maurice's Service Center, that the vehicle being driven was taken from the business without permission or knowledge of the owner.

 

Lucia-Cole was taken into custody and brought back to the St. Albans Barracks where he as processed and released.
