 SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On July 05, 2017 at approximately 1915 hours the Vermont State Police initiated a motor vehicle stop on County Road in Swanton, VT after observation of a motor vehicle violation. 

During the subsequent investigation, the operator of the vehicle provided a false identity to the investigating Trooper.  The operator was ultimately identified as 33 year-old Sunshine Gagnon of Richford, VT.  

The investigation further yielded that a male passenger in the vehicle, identified as 41 year-old Jason Royea, was in violation of a 24-hour curfew pursuant to an outstanding criminal court case.  

Both the operator and the passenger were placed under arrest for their respective offenses.  They were ultimately processed at the St. Albans Field Station and released with citations.  Royea is due in Franklin County District Court on July 6, 2017 at 11:00am to answer his conditions violation.  Gagnon is due in court on August 14, 2017 at 1:00pm to answer her false information violation.
