SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On July 20th 2017, at 2330 hours, a member of the Vermont State Police stopped George Elwood on Interstate 89 Northbound in the town of Georgia due to a motor vehicle violation. Upon contacting Elwood, it was suspected he was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Subsequent investigation revealed that Elwood was in fact under the influence of alcohol at the time of operation. Elwood was placed under arrest and brought to the St. Albans State Police Barracks for processing. Elwood was charged with Driving Under the Influence #2, and released with a citation to appear before Franklin Superior Court on August 21st 2017, at 1300 hours in order to face the aforementioned charge.
