SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On July 2nd 2017, at 1730 hours, members of the Vermont State Police conducted a directed patrol on Interstate 89 northbound at mile marker 120 in the town of Swanton. During this patrol, Troopers stopped an operator later identified as Mark Bruneau for travelling 96 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour speed zone. Bruneau was charged with Careless and Negligent Operation, and ultimately released with a citation to appear in Franklin Superior Court on August 14th 2017 in order to face said charge.
