SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On July 22, 2017, at approximately 0010 hours, Troopers at the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks responded to a report of a one-vehicle crash in the area of West Lake Road and North Street in the Town of Wells, Vermont.

Initial investigation revealed that Operator #1 (Dufresne) was travelling north on North Street and failed to stop at the stop sign located at the intersection of West Lake Road. Operator #1 (Dufresne) continued through the intersection across West Lake Road, and down an embankment on the north side of the road.

There were no injuries as a result of the crash. Due to the severity of the damage, the vehicle was towed from the scene by Bruno’s Auto Repair.

The Vermont State Police were assisted by Wells Town Fire Department and Granville Rescue.
