ACCUSED:  Darleen Palmer

AGE: 49

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Rutland City, Vermont

 

On July 9th, 2017, at approximately 0108 hours, Troopers responded to multiple calls from motorist on Cold River Road in the Town of Clarendon, VT, reporting a female was walking down the middle of the road in dark colored clothing. Upon arrival, Troopers met with Darleen Palmer in the middle of Cold River Road. Palmer advised that she was trying to slow people down because they drive to fast on that road. Palmer did not comply with Troopers’ request to leave the roadway. Palmer advised that she was going to continue walking down the middle of the road, and would fight anyone who tried to stop her. Palmer was arrested for disorderly conduct, and lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.
