Rutland Barracks/ Burglary

On July 30th, 2017, at approximately 0313 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks received a report of a burglary in progress at a location on Dayton Hill Road in Middletown Springs, Vermont.


Upon their arrival, Troopers located Adam M. Phillips, 35, of Poultney. The investigation revealed Phillips did not have permission to be on the property, he had made entry into a building on the property and removed several items, which he was attempting to load into his vehicle.


Phillips was arrested and transported to Castleton Police Department for processing.


Phillips was held at the Marble Valley Correction Center pending a hearing at the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division on July 31st 2017 at 1230 hours.  Phillips was charged with a violation of Title 13 Vermont Statutes Annotated Section 1201: Burglary.
