SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at approximately 0019 hours, the Vermont State

Police were notified of a two-vehicle crash on Route 7 in Rutland Town.

Investigation at the scene revealed that both operators were traveling north on

Route 7.  Approximately 100 feet south of McKinley Avenue, Operator 1 (Newton)

struck the curb on the east side of Route 7 causing him to lose control of his

vehicle.  As a result, Operator 1 left his lane of travel and struck the right

front bumper of Vehicle 2 being operated by Haynes.  Vehicle 1 sustained

moderate damage to the left side of the vehicle.  Vehicle 2 sustained minimal

damage to the right front bumper.  There were no reported injuries, and both

operators advised they were seat belted at the time of the crash.

 

 

Civil Violation Complaint: Operator 1 (Newton) was issued a VCVC for Driving on

Roadways Laned for Travel a violation of  T23 VSA 1038
